The Sorcerer and the White Snake (2011)

Definitely less erotic than the 1993 Tsui Hark film Green Snake, The Sorcerer and the White Snake (a.k.a. It’s LoveMadame White Snake, The Emperor and the White Snake) is a variation of a Chinese folk tale Madame White Snake. It has been recreated many times including The Legend of the White Serpent (1956 film), The Tale of the White Serpent (1958 Japanese animated film), New Legend of Madame White Snake (1992 TV Series), Madam White Snake (2001 TV Series), and many other films, plays, operas, and TV series.

Acting, production, CGI, was all very good.  This is probably the first film where I actually saw Charlene Choi act well in. I certainly would recommend The Sorcerer and the White Snake, I’ve watched it multiple times myself.
